Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OC (born March 4th, 1954)is a Canadian-American actress comedian, writer, and actress. O'Hara has been awarded a range of awards including the Genie Award, a Golden Globe Award and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. She also won two Primetime Emmy Awards and six Canadian Screen Awards. She was made an Officer of the Order of Canada in 2018 and was honored with the Governor General's Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in 2020. O'Hara became famous as an actress when she was a part of 1974 of The Second City, an Improvisational comedy troupe based out of Toronto. Alongside John Candy and Dan Aykroyd she was part of the main ensemble of the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara and Candy began working on Second City Television's sketch comedy show (1976-1984). O'Hara won an Primetime Emmy Award in 1981 for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the brand-new Second City artistic advisory board headed by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond, Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
